American Constitution Spirit Foundation

The American Constitution Spirit Foundation is a non-partisan, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. Established in March of 2010 the Foundation received official IRS status on December 5, 2011.Shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks on America, it was determined that Ronald Reagans 1986 initiative to permanently place the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights original bronze replicas in schools should be revitalized. Efforts to acquire the ownership and licensing rights to the original replicas of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and their accompanying, National Monument to the U.S. Constitution and The Monument to the U.S. Presidency, took over five years. The effort to perfect the smelting and etching process for the five plaque sets took over two years. Finally, on November 22, 2010 the first set of cast Bronze Original replicas of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights were dedicated at The Maggie Walker Governors School in Richmond, Virginia launching the American Constitution Sprit Foundations National Constitution Plaque Initiative.

Our Mission
Broaden national awareness of The History of Americas Freedoms and its Institutions while implementing a nationwide program to permanently place The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights in every educational institution in America.

Our Action
Support education through our National Constitution Plaque Initiative, implementing President Reagan’s vision of placing exact bronze replicas of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights in schools across America.

Our Vision
By providing schools with the cornerstone documents of our government, we provide students with an opportunity to better understand our government, our freedoms, and their social responsibilities for generations to come.

Our Board of Directors
Includes individuals from business and industry, education, and foundations. Their on-going advice and recommendations enable the organization to move rapidly in the national arena to achieve the Foundations mission.

Our Donorship Programs and Fund Raising Initiatives
The foundation has developed Donorship Programs designed to encourage alumni, civic organizations, corporations, individuals and foundations to provide donations to acquire a set of plaques for educational institutions in their communities or throughout the country. These donations receive significant benefits enabling the foundation to refer to the program as "Donorships".

Most important to our foundation is assisting schools and their communities with fund raising activities. When schools, community leaders, school board members, alumni, PTA’s, or schools superintendents communicate their interest and desire to  provide their students and faculty with these educational tools, our foundation provides them with fund raising material and programs. Additionally, we reach out to other community foundations, service organizations and  corporations for grant and donorship assistance.

Our Internet Based School Fund Raising Cause
We have developed an internet based cause site for each educational institutions use designed to encourage donations directly to their Plaque Initiative fund raising efforts. 100% of all donations on this site are credited to each individual school or to the general fund as designated.
